• 6. Can they handle the whole property? Mowing-only is fine until you need aeration, cleanups, mulch or sod and end up managing three different providers.

Look at the dates. Fifty reviews spread across several seasons means a company has kept customers happy through good weather and bad; fifty reviews from one month means a push. Read the three-star ones — they are usually the most honest. And look for specifics: reviews that mention a crew member by name, a particular fix, or a second season of service are worth more than a row of “great job!”
